Why become a B Corp company?
Over the years, we’ve done a lot to create positive impact. But we wanted more. We wanted to be part of a global movement promoting real change. By becoming a B Corp, we’ve taken on the responsibility of leading that change within our industry. And we know change is possible.
Every action we take aims to inspire other businesses to follow suit — because no economy can thrive on a dying planet.
What does being a B Corp involve?
Achieving B Corp certification is not easy. It requires deep self-assessment, allowing us to reflect on every part of our work and ensure our actions align with our values.
- Governance: We’ve clearly defined our mission and values, ensuring ethical and transparent decision-making.
- Workers: We’ve improved benefits, training, and well-being, fostering an inclusive and fair workplace.
- Community: We promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we generate positive economic impact through donations and investments.
- Environment: We adopt sustainable practices to reduce our environmental impact and manage resources responsibly.
- Clients: We assess how our services contribute to the well-being of our clients and broader society.
With a score of 90.3, we exceeded the 80-point threshold required to become a B Corp company, but this is just the beginning. We’ll recertify in three years, because being a B Corp means committing to ongoing improvement.
What are we doing to generate B impact?
Actions to protect the planet
At Suandco, we’re committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. That’s why we’ve taken several steps to reduce our ecological footprint and raise environmental awareness:
Digitized Processes: Since 2020, we’ve digitized our IRPF and Corporate Tax campaigns to become a paperless firm.
Partnerships with foundations: We support organizations dedicated to preserving Spain’s historical and artistic heritage.
Work-life balance & remote work: Post-pandemic, we implemented a 60% remote work policy to reduce our carbon footprint.
Clean energy: We use energy from renewable sources via green-certified energy providers.
Recycling & plastic-free: We’ve implemented office recycling systems and eliminated plastic bottles, replacing them with glass and locally sourced water.
B Corp Verification: In 2023, we began our verification process, and in May 2024, we officially became part of the global B Corp movement.
Actions to promote team health and sell-being
Our team’s well-being is essential to generating positive impact. That’s why at Suandco, we’ve adopted several initiatives to promote the physical, mental, and professional well-being of our people:
Continuous learning: We provide both technical and personal development training.
Expert coaching: We offer professional coaching to strengthen relationships and teamwork.
Mindfulness in the office: We promote mindfulness to reduce stress and boost focus.
Mindgram Platform: Since 2023, our employees have access to Mindgram, a platform offering mental health support, career coaching, and wellness workshops.
HR Software (Factorial): We’ve implemented a platform to manage employee well-being and professional growth.
Profit sharing: We distribute 30% of our annual profits among our team as recognition for their effort and commitment.
Our commitment as a B Corp company
Being a B Corp doesn’t mean being perfect — it means being firmly committed to continuous improvement. This certification challenges us to grow and make a positive impact across every area of our business.
What’s more, as the fourth law firm and the first tax advisory firm in Spain to join the B Corp movement, we’re taking on a greater responsibility: to lead change within our sector. This step reflects our mission to inspire others to follow this path and prove that a more ethical and sustainable business future is possible.
